"fagots go to hell"

December 30 2006

that is the exact message i recently receive from some 14-yo girl.

now if this was her attempt to share Christ with me, it was a bad one. God would never call someone a "fagot" (btw - it has two Gs) and condemn them to hell.

anyway. i replied with "you're a bitch who can't spell. have a nice day" which was prolly kinda immature... but whatev.
and she wrote back "fuck u 2 hell boy.. ima pray 4 u"

which is also a poor attempt to share God's love - if that's what she was trying to do.

i don't know about you, but i don't want someone who's gonna call me a fag and say "fuck you" to me to be praying for me.
i think the one that needs prayer is her.

so let this be a lesson to all of us to truly be Christlike when we're trying to witness.
abrasion never got anyone anywhere.

She probably meant to say that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God, which is a more Christ - like way to put it, since it's from the Bible. As for her other language, she'll have to answer for that too some day.

Errr. I can't type one handed. Especially while I'm not looking at the screen. What I meant to say was, "Well said."

well gahlee. I don't believe God condones homosexuality, and i'm pretty sure He also doesn't condone hatred and misrepresentation. Homosexuality doesn't send someone to Hell...that's the result of a lack of a relationship with Jesus Christ. gracious...i do hope that that kind of thing doesn't color your view of Christians. i know that John stated what i believe up there, but yes. real Christians don't hate people because they realize that their sin is equally as wrong in God's eyes and it is only by God's mercy and not their merit that they are forgiven. much love--Cari

In 1 Corinthians 6, Paul speaks to the Corinthian church about those who will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Among those are homosexuals and slanderers. He goes on to tell them that some of them were those things, but since they were "washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Jesus Christ, they are no longer those things. I guess that means they repented and turned from their sins. Now the young lady mentioned in the original post could be considered a slanderer for her remarks. So, if anything she needs prayer as much as the homosexual does. Both need to repent, and turn from their wicked ways. Yes, God's Word calls it wicked. I'm sorry if that is harsh, but that's what it says.

Faggot is a piece of wood (or twigs bound together) to start a fire, just so we're all clear on that.
When I moved I stopped attending Church, but I used to love Church so I gave it another chance and sat in on a sermon. It was all about gay and lesbian relationships and how they fit into the scheme of the Christian landscape. The sermon ranted about how the Bible says homosexuality is wrong.
What happened to interperting the Bible for ourselves? There are days I am not proud of being Christian. Actually I don't consider myself Christian anymore...
I'm not without a religion -- I was raised with it, so it's hard to deny it. I have my own beliefs and I try to respect everyone else's self expression. How are we supposed to care about anyone and anything if all we do are make clones? The irony of this modern world and globalization is that we expect everyone to be like us, when really being the same breeds the worst intolerance in people.
We all need to forge our own paths... Not be stopped by every side comment, or feel inclined to be so self-righteous in our personal quests in our own insecurities to affect other people in such a way.
