First couple of days..

August 16 2005
So I am a Senior..A Fuckin Senior..I am still getting over the shock. Schedule is good, except that I feel like a complete slacker. Maybe I should have kept the science class. Perhaps, I’ll feel better next semester when my real classes kick in. I suppose having 6th period with Salty isn’t helping this feeling of slackism. I think that is a new word.

First race this week, I have a feeling that my alter ego, Negative Nancy might want to make a visit. I hate this feeling of being neurotic. I need to just not focus on it. That is it, it is just a practice.

There isn’t much else to say, well except. I am a FUNKIN SENIOR!

so everything is fixed

3rd lunch anyone?

Do I have to hear this crap again..

August 08 2005
I dislike this time of year, not because we are going back to school or summer is ending. I dislike this time of year for it Rush season. When 10th and 11th grades get picked by upperclass to in a highly selective group. Yes, you have it ADK or DBS. What is worse is that it isn't only girls this year, it is also most of my guy friends being picked to be sponsors. I suppose I am not popular enough or liked by enough people ever to be picked. It makes me feel terribly like an outcast. It seems that High school sororities are only out there to give girls status to lord over others heads. I know they do charity and volunteer work, but hell you can do that on your own. I have. So there is usually a winter formal, yet another thing to rub in other girls faces. I just don't want to hear about this anymore.

I know that sounded like me being a jealous person, but you know what I am just a little.

Then again I look at it some pretty awesome people weren't in sororities take for example Faye, Allison or Kathryn. I bet Kate Hudson wasn't either.

Tour de Lance....

July 30 2005
Lance Armstong, everyone is familiar with the name. He is no longer confused with that guy who went on the moon. He is known from by winning seven tours, and most of all coming back from cancer. Cancer that was so bad he was coughing up blood. It wasn’t till he was coughing up blood though he actually went to the doctor. I think that we endurance athletes never want to actually admit there is something wrong with us. Then after chemo and many treatments he came back to win seven tours. It took this much to attract Americans to this sport.

The question now is, are Americans going to continue watching cycling? Perhaps if there are other great American Cyclists. Last year a gold medal was won by an American in the time trials but Tyler Hamilton is suspended for two years for blood doping (though there is evidence to refute this claim). There are others to step up to the plate; Bobby Julich, Levi Leipheimer and Floyd Landis were both in the top twenty of this Tour. We must not forget David Zabriskie who wore yellow until crashing in the team time trial. None will dominate the Tour like Lance. No, the real question is if Americans are hook on the sport? Mia Hamn did it with women’s soccer, and the team is still drawing fans after her retirement. I suppose we can’t predict this now. We will have to wait till next year’s tour and the tours after that.

There might never be anybody like Lance, but just think somewhere out there is a kid on his bike dreaming of winning the Tour de France.

As for me, I am having Tour withdrawals. I still consider cycling a great cross trainer, and perhaps one day I will enter a bike race.

NO MORE A.C.T!!!

June 30 2005
It makes me so nervous everytime that envelope comes. I take a deep breath, praying with every second. Then like my fingers are coming out a starting block, I rip the top off the envelope. Quickly, my eyes scan the paper, reading one score after the next. A perfect score in reading that has to be a good sign. Then the final score awaits me at the bottom. 30, it reads and I thank the heavens that I won't ever have to take that test again.

What is up with remakes?

June 25 2005
I have decided Hollywood can not come up with any orginal ideas. Why must there be remakes of movies, shows, etc. Let us take for an example Bewitch. In my own personal taste it was awful. Nicole Kidman was trying to play Meg Ryan who was playing Samatha off of bewitch. It was just a horrible movie. It wasn't Bewitch, it was a remake with the premise of being Bewitch. The plot was that a famous actor decides remake Bewitch the show, he finds a actress who wingles her nose but she turns out being witch. Nicole Kidman didn't even wingle her nose correctly. Why can't they just leave well enough alone?

There have been good remakes don't get me wrong. The Brady Bunch movie pokes fun at the concept of the show, but also made one think of old times. It was orginal, but kept to the ideals of the show.

There are only so many times one can remake Herbie, The Parent trap, Freaky Friday and so many others. Memo to Hollywood give me an oringal movie like Star Wars..

Clinton Library

June 21 2005

photo from CaraByrd

So this weekend I had to go to Little Rock for a wedding. It was an interesting town. One of the places I visited was the Clinton Library. There were two type of people there; ones who hated him, and those who adored him. Nobody in the middle like. It was an amazing place with a nonparstian view of the time he was president. It even mentioned the scandal. The picture above is from the first time Lance Armstong won the Tour de France. I got overly excited about this.

Random Question..

June 20 2005
If you could date any character from any book who would it be?
I am going with Sirius Black or Mr.Darcy...

Random fun...

June 16 2005
So sometime next week does anybody want to make some random video, you know like the one's you make for class projects. I just want a little spice to be added to this season called summer.

So I

June 06 2005
I want to be swept off my feet. I know this sounds very melodramatic. That is what I want. I am not going to make it hard for anyone so below are some easy steps to sweep me off my feet.

1.Sweet talk me, and play fight with me. I like to argue. Nothing mean or evil just over things.

2. Take me to the park. I like the outdoors. I am not afraid to get muddy. If there is any type of sport to go along with it. I would be overjoyed. Don't laugh when I trip over myself.

3. Give me a book so we can discuss it. I like to read. I want to be able to share my opinions.

4. Take me to the movies and buy me a popcorn. Don't laugh at me when I get excited when the Harry Potter preview comes on. I know I am a dork.

5.Just be yourself. That is only thing a girl can hope for.

May I ask where is my Mr.Darcy?

Summer so far...

June 03 2005
It is odd to think this is my last Summer running Cross Country with Salty. I have been doing this for four years. Frankly, that is a long time. It is odd to go somewhere and realize the people who have guided you for the past 3 years are gone. You keep looking around for them and they are no where to be found.

I have a volunteer job this summer. I will be working the Battlefield. I don't know what I will be doing, but it should prove to be interesting.Maybe I am finally growing up. Though I still feel like I am all of 15. I just don't know. There is so much that I need to do but some how I feel like I am too young to do it.
