creating correct contractions (READ ME!!!)

September 18 2006

ok, there are some people out there that need to hear this.

YOU CANNOT SAY "COULD OF."

or "would of," or "should of," for that matter.

in spoken english it might SOUND like that's what you are saying . . .

BUT IT'S NOT.

you are saying "COULD'VE."

as in, "i could've killed you for writing 'could of.'"

or perhaps, "i should've killed you for writing 'should of.'"

you could have done something, you could not of done something.

the preposition of is NOT a helping VERB.

you would know that if you would've paid attention in 3rd grade english.

. . .

and while i'm at it, y'all is spelled y-'-a-l-l.

SO STOP WRITING Y-A-'-L-L,

because that doesn't make any sense either.

. . .

i think that's it for now. come on, people, let's write correctly.

I think that the word y'all should just be stricken from every country bumpkin's vocabulary. . . but then that would take away almost half of their vocabulary. . . I talked to Kelsey and heard the real verson. . . If it is going to happen you might as well go out big! Lol

What amuses me most about this entry is that underneath it I saw J-Mo's entry, in which he did in fact write "could of".
