Just wondering...

Call me insensitive if you want but...

How does sleeping in a parking lot solve anything? Bums do it all the time and they're only looked down on so..what's the point?

Maybe there's a better way to fight another "war" we have no place in.

I'm just sayin'...

it is a very symbolic protest - and the goal is to bring attention to this media-ignored war

I think it's just to bring awareness, but Robert Lewis made a really good post about it that's definitely worth reading.

yea. what they said. plus everyone nationwide will be writing their representatives in congress as well. the goal is to bring awareness, and hopefully END the war, not start one.

it is a big issue, the gas prices. but in actuality, gas prices are just catching up to the economic inflation over the years. people just arent used to it changing. in all honesty, as a person who does pay for gas, after learning about the facts of the war in uganda, its absolutely horrible. its the holocaust of the 21st century. literally. out of curiosity, have you seen the documentary or researched the issue?

thats your decision, and i can't make it for you. i respect your ability to make that decision. i do find it hard to imagine that you would turn your back on at least learning about the situation, even if you wouldnt or couldnt help yourself. not to say you are a bad person, because you are not. but you guys are under a crunch with finals, so maybe thats it.

well i hope that it does make CNN or FOX, the one in Franklin is supposed to have national media coverage. but otherwise. we are sleeping on grass, no tents, rain or shine, no utilities or shelter. i dunno, i think its a very worthy cause. besides, its not the sleeping outside that is the main proactive point of the night. it's just an event to actually get people involved. oh well. i just hope people simply learn about the problem. if only that. to be educated and if called, be proactive. how's the broadcasting stuff going?
