*sigh* It takes a lot of time to improve... I'm having trouble with something very frusterating... lol, of course I'm talkin' about band music... of course I would have trouble with something in traditional grip that is SO easy to me in matched.... I need to spend more time practicing but I've gotten to that point where I practiced SO much that my hands don't wanna speed up anymore... (I hate that...) so I have to stop... but I don't want to...

Well, for those of you who don't know who Bernard Goldberg is or about his book "100 People Who Are Screwing Up America"... well I was going to tell you about it but it's pretty selfexplainatory. But yeah, I REALLY wanna read it cuz I've watched as many interview with him about it as I can find (most of them are attacks against him... let's just say that on a show watched by next to nobody he was treated like his oppinion didn't matter... they got really angry..... and they hadn't even READ the book) and I agree with most of what I've HEARD... so I want to read it to see if I agree with the entire book. right now there is one interview with him but they just did another one live so it should be up soon... (it talks about one of the attacks agains Bernard Goldberg) I'm sorry if this post offended anyone becuz of the book or author... if you must know I don't consider myself a republican or a democrat but a moderate who attemps to take in each point and evaluate it against my beliefs. Politics are to screwed up anyway and I don't want to be part of the continuous sill argument about who's MORE right or better.... it's quite silly I must say....

Band camp started today!!! Well... it went good for our first day.... we have a lot of work though.... we're playing cannon in D! Yay! great fun! I need to work out my double strokes back up in traditional grip.... I still have great doubles in matched but traditional's still new to me... BUt yeah.... and I have trouble standing straight becuz I'm kinda crooked and have some back problems... I'm workin' on it...

I'm SO ready for school believe it or not. Exciting things, my first year in chamber, tryin' to figure essentially a completely fresh new drumline, my freshman friends (weird I'm a sohpomore.... time is too short), new teachers, new chances, hmmm.... I'm excited.

Well, I'm at my dad's house... Yup, and I'm DYING to play drums! My rists actually started hurting yesterday from lack of playing so I've found a practice pad and sticks and I've been workin' on guitar stuff with my dad (for those of you who don't know before the divorce he was an AMAZING guitarist...).

So yeah, I'm ready to be home and I'm ready to see friends but other than at RYM and band camp I'm not goin' to get to do that till school starts (ick) but in a way I'm ready for school to start again, just gotta finish that darn Ethan Frome....

Music is good..... mmmmmm mmmmmm.....

Yep, my week so far hasn't been much of anything... and yeah... then goin' to my dad's at the end.... oh boy....

It's not that I don't like him or nething, I mean, he's MY DAD, but.... he's just a strange guy.... and now with their kid... yeah... don't get me wrong, in the past 4 years or so I've learned to love kids but.... just don't like havin' them push "oh he's your brother blah blah blah".... maybe biologically and legally, but not ne other way yet.... I suppose he might become a Christian than he'd be my brother in an even deeper sense of the word... but....

My summer has been really good so far, much beter than I thought it would be in fact. Since I didn't end up takin' driver's ed I actually get time to rest (yessss!!!).
My birthday party went pretty well..... lol, it was about a third of my youth group and Mady and Chelsey.... it was great!
The Hiawasse trip went well also! Gosh that water is FREEZING. Oh yeah, heh heh, Mr. Elheban threw a snake in our boat... (there's a snake in my boat!).
So yeah, I have to go see my dad on friday... hmmm....
But for tonight... put put and ice cream, mmm mmm....

Everyone knows Cory and Topanga the star couple of the show "Boy Meets World". I always wished I had my own Topanga... Someone I had known since infancy who I knew better than anyone else. I wanted someone I could love my entire life and spend the rest of my life with. I wanted a "Cory and Topanga relationship", of course for me it's not exactly possible since I haven't really known any one for more than 3 years at a time. No one from my younger childhood is even around... So I guess that wish is virtually impossible, but that's ok, I still hope there is someone out there for me. Those of you who know me really well might know that I'm not sure I'll ever get married, the life I think I'm to live is NOT the kind of life for a wife and family... sadly... But I still have hope and love "and the greatest of these is love".
