yay for parents.

so according to my mother, i should have the entire rest of my life planned out from this point forth.

somewhere she missed the fact that i am only 17. that i don't know exactly where i want to go to college. that i don't know what i want to do "when i grow up."

she thinks i haven't been thinking about it at all. that all i am concerned about is having fun with my friends in the here and now.

i don't remember the last time i just sat and hung out with my friends. i've been working all day most every day for the past few weeks.

i mean, that obviously shows that i am lazy and don't think about the future. what a horrible, no good teenager i am.

so, to all you kids who've already done this whole college application thing: when did you start working on it really hard?

MOVIE NIGHT TONIGHT AT MY PLACE! Anyhow, now would be a good time to start working on your college applications. I wouldn't know though, since I only filled out one and it was MTSU's, but I would guess that the sooner you start the better. But you are NOT lazy and you also don't have to know what you want to do. There's this nifty thing that colleges let you do for a couple of years called an UNDECLARED major. Your mom probably knew exactly what she wanted to do when she was your age, and therefore expects the same from you. But just pray through it and God will guide you. I'll pray for you too. Anyhow, give yourself a break and come over tonight. And if your mom gives your crap about it, tell her that Amy is going to let you look at her undergraduate catalog... and I seriously will.

Yeah I think all parents do that. They are about to lose their baby!! Sigh...I started working on it my senior year but I wish I had worked on it earlier. I could have gotten some scholarships...I could be going to a different college...I wish I would have started earlier...now I'm stuck at MTSU!! JOY....your mom is going to go psycho on you this whole year because your growing up and you won't have to depend on them alot like you did when you were younger...I am still dealing with the mom problem...Whether or not I am going to college is will forever be PSYCHO!! Well have a great day!! God Bless!!

i started in september perhaps... that is only because i had it through my small little brain that i was going to UT. so i took a trip up there, filled it out and got accepted. now, i did this b/c i really wanted to be accepted so i did the early admission stuff...but God changed that, and my application to MTSU was filled out in march... but in reality, parents always make this a bigger deal than it really is. perhaps they forget that no matter what time you do something, that God is in control of the situation. when it is the right time for all that then God will let you know. just be in prayer over it.

Just apply to UVa and we can chill when I get there...heh. I've always been told to kinda know like 5 schools you want to go to before senior year. Then in August and September start applying for scholarships and early decision stuff if you want. Find out deadlines.

pretty sure I haven't applied to any colleges. Or even done any of my summer reading. Don't sweat it. It'll all turn out okay.
