Hello, friends. Watch this video and tell me what you think. It's really short. Turn the sound up.
I thought it was hilarious (mostly because I dislike the man to begin with).

I was underwhelmed. I've been slain in the spirit - so I know it can happen. But this appeared more like theatrics. Of course, the way the video (and music) was put together the context was lost .....

I think it's funny. Mostly because everything just went together, but I guess if I were him I'd be offended...but I'm not so i won't be.

Sorry for the untimely reply.
>>I wanted to let you know something about your post on Harrelson's blog: The context of Isaiah 7 was (most likely) not the messiah. The word "virgin" in Hebrew just means a young female.>>
Young female, unmarried woman, woman, virgin... depending on the context it could mean any of the three. The passage may seem awkward for a sign be a woman without male semen impregnating her, I see your point. However:
>>It was translated into the LXX incorrectly as "virgin." The original author most likely did not intend that to be read as a prophecy for the messiah. It may be applied to him now, but that was not the original intent.>>
Uhhhh... Let's take a crash course in prophecy and its authority. The author (or rather, writer) doesn't in himself have any meaning to his words, nor does he make things up. The words and revelation come from God, so whatever was written was what it meant to be by God; the prophet understood what the words meant (unless it is the same as speaking in tongues, and would need an interpreter). So, there cannot be a case where a prophet being given a revelation from God can intend a prophecy for any other meaning.
>> Also, David was probably just talking about physically going to the bedside of his wife/baby, not dying (because he had just said he was praying over him and he had stopped, hence moved physically away from the child).>> Very possible.

Sorry for the long previous post. I understand your apprehension to debating online. I don't think this site is at all designed for it. Plus, I have been getting fairly tired of debating online. Thanks for replying anyway. You're pretty, and I hope you have a good day.
