Hm. I don't know that I agree with that. I think we should cut out the middle man (the heart) and just follow God. Because faith cannot always be based on emotions or feeeling or experiences--it has to sometimes just be based on faith itself. I'm sure it's something we could discuss if we ever went to get that cup of coffee at Starbucks we so often talk about.

I think the issue here is the state of your heart and where you are in your relationship with Him. If He has TRULY won your heart, your desires are now the same as His b/c you are aligned with His heart. Ps 37:4 -"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart."

even if your state of heart is right, sometimes life happens. it's quite a struggle but so worth it.
