Quicktime question

September 03 2005
Charles and I got a great little video of our dog and cat playing together. The video is from our digital camera, and the movie is a quicktime .mov file. Is there a way that we can get a still shot from it? Like if we pause the movie in a certain spot, can we get a capture? I am new to Quicktime, but I figure SOMEONE here would know. *ahem NATHAN ahem* :)
thanks!

hmmm... sounds like a question for me. the answer is yes. however, you may need the pro version of quicktime (which is $30)... but once you have that, you will be able to save any frame or even put the video in another format. an easier way to do this may be to take a screen shot of your screen while you have the video paused on the frame you want. on a PC, you should be able to hit the PRNT SCRN key (something to that effect)... That will copy the whole screen to the clipboard... then you can open an image editing application (or even MS WORD) and paste that screenshot in. You will need to crop it, but there are two options to try. Let me know if you still need help or that does not work...

Haven't tried it yet, to be honest. We've been busy, and we did manage to take some still shots of Frodo and Kenobi. But I'll let you know when I try it whether or not it worked. :) Thank you!
