I'm 3.32 gigs into my iPod by now, covering many decades, many genres, and many many artists. I also got the iTrip at Target for $25.

I do believe that investing in the iTrip is worthwhile..I'm stuck with using the tape-deck converter thing for CD players. Horrible, horrible quality.
