busy

you know... if the devil can't make you bad, he'll make you busy.

there are so many things going on right now in my life -- and they're all good things -- but it's just so much. i feel like i'm not doing anything to the best of my ability. i've spread myself pretty thin, and i wonder if i'm really as shallow in every area as i feel like i am. i want so badly to glorify God in all that i do, and perhaps i could reach that goal if i didn't do quite all that i do.

Lord, show me your intentions and purposes. grant me the wisdom to know how much i can do, and then empower me to serve that end. above all, give me peace in my role for you on this earth.

What's up! Good to see you on here. I think you got more of a grasp on what to do than most people. I mean you have even uploaded pics. Some people have yet to realize they can do that. Anyhoo, I like the post. It reminded me of a leadership series I did at Big Stuf camp. This camp was done by Northpoint church in Atlanta along with the people who head up the Passion tours. Regardless it was an amazing experience. All that said they really pushed simplicity in running a church but also in what we do to minister..... You see they were saying that Northpoint has set out to use there resources strategically so none are wasted on pointless ministries that serve no purpose. They pushed the fact - when they hone their focus and energy into what they are most prosperous in, they can have an even larger impact. Of course this goes beyond running a church. They applied this to how we can live our life. They told us we should find those spiritual gifts that we are most fruitful in and prune off the activities and outlets that are less productive. Now don't get me wrong, they were not saying get rid of whatever doesn't seem to be working and forget about it. They were saying to get rid of the things proven less fruitful and take the energy that was being put into those areas and put it into the fruitful activities (ministries) to have a multiplying affect. Anyways I think you get what I am trying to say haha. Well I hope you have a great day. I guess Ill see you at Starbucks next wed. until then I bid you fair well! In Him, Jonathan 1Thes 5:16-18
