Well it finally happened, snow! After waiting patiently for 4 days the ground was finally covered enough to go outside and play....Drifting is what I am talking, I don't know what you could confuse that with..
Though conditions were not great, the ground on select church parking lots was sufficient enough to get some good runs. I ended up with 3-4 excellent side-to-side-to-side-to side runs (having my rims in the my rear seat/trunk area helped get some weight back there!
All in all, good times were had...I'm glad I didn't have to wait any longer, but Im hoping for a round 2 (with friends).
peace guys, please drive safe!
Disclaimer: Ryan is a pimp (vouches: Lauren Nicdao) and knows how to drive + whip out the back end of his vehicle. All attempts to reach his pimpness should require the skillz, focus, and suitable driving area and conditions. Bee Safe!

Alot of my mind, but none of it is homework

Sorta depressed, but it's a good depressing. Everyone gets depressed, and tonight at 10:38 is my time. Yet mine is productive, because it is brewing thoughts of change in my life, and what I need to do and where I need to be heading. None of it involves a girl, but this is such a good mellow song to listen to:
Counting Crows
Holiday In Spain
Got no place to go
but there's a girl waiting for me down in Mexico
She's got a bottle of tequila, a bottle of gin
And if I bring a little music I can fit right in
We've got airplane rides
We got California drowning out the window side
We've got big black cars
And we've got stories how we slept with all the movie stars
I may take a holiday in Spain
Leave my wings behind me
Drink my worries down the drain
And fly away to somewhere new
Hop on my choo-choo
I'll be your engine driver in a bunny suit
If you dress me up in pink and white
We may be just a little fuzzy 'bout it later tonight
She's my angel
She's a little better than the one that used to be with me
Cause she liked to scream at me
Man, it's a miracle that she's not living up in a tree
I may take a holiday in Spain
Leave my wings behind me
Drive this little girl insane
And fly away to someone new
Everybody's gone
They left the television screaming that the radio's on
Someone stole my shoes
But there's a couple of bananas and a bottle of booze
Oh, well happy new year's baby
We could probably fix it if we clean it up all day
Or we could simply pack our bags
And catch a plane to Barcelona 'cause this city's a drag
I may take a holiday in Spain
Leave my wings behind me
Flush my worries down the drain
And fly away to somewhere new
Take a holiday in Spain

Drive this little girl insane

Lazy Sunday
February 01 2006
Lazy Sunday, wake up in the late afternoon,
Call Parnell just to see how he's doin.
Hello? What up Parn? Yo, Samburg what's crackin?
You thinkin what I'm thinkin? NARNIA, man it's happ'nin.
But first my hunger pangs I'll stick it like duct tape.
Lets hit up Magnolia and mac on some cupcakes.
No doubt that bakery's got all the bomb frostings.
I love those cupcakes like McAdams loves Gosling.
Two no six no twelve — baker's dozen!
I told you that I'm crazy for these cupcakes cousin.
Yo where's the movie playing? Upper West Side dude.
Well let's hit up Yahoo Maps to find the dopest route.
I prefer Mapquest. That's a good one too!
Google maps is the best. True dat, double true!
68th and broadway, step on it sucka!
What ya wanna do Chris? Snack attack, mutha-f**ka!
The chronic-what-cles of Narnia!
Yes, the chronic-what-cles of Narnia!
We love the chronic-what-cles of Narnia!
Pass the chronic-what-cles of Narnia!
Yo stop at the deli, the theater's over-priced.
You got the backpack, gonna pack it up nice.
Don't want security to get suspicious.
Mr. Pibb and Red Vines equals crazy delicious!
I reach in my pocket, pull out some dough.
Girl acted like she never seen a 10 befo'
It's all about the Hamilton's baby!
Throw the snacks in a bag, and I'm ghost like Swayze.
Roll up to the theater, ticket-buyin what we're handling,
You can call us Aaron Burr, from the way we're droppin Hamiltons.
Now parked in our seats Movie trivias the illest.
What friends alum starred in films with Bruce Willis?
We answer so fast it was scary.
Everyone stared in awe when we screamed Matthew Perry!
Now quiet in the theatre or it's gonna get tragic.
We bout to get taken to a dream world of magic.
The chronic-what-cles of Narnia!
Yes, the chronic-what-cles of Narnia!

Well, I bought another car today...I just haven't paid for it. The CRX I bought two weeks ago really isn't the daily driver I was looking for, and I ran into a great deal today and jumped on it. Once I get it maybe I will post pictures for you guys.
Anyone intereted in an 89' Honda CRX for $1800? It has a ZC swap and about 160k on the body. If you or someone you know is interested please let me know.

"So much to say, so much to say so much to say..." -DMB
If you didn't know, my mind is at a constant million miles an hour state....which makes it extremely hard for me to concentrate and be still...be quiet (Yes I honestly was diagnosed with ADD in 1st. Grade- What?) I'm getting serious fast, but there is so much noise in my life. Most of this noise has a beat, a rythms, a melodys, and lyrics...while the rest of the noise is just a distraction. Many times, both are distractions. Right now I have a noise in my head that I am not quite sure what it is...and I'm not quite sure what I should do about it.
Until I figure out what it is, I'm going to do my best to sit still...and be quiet. If I cannot accomplish this I am going continue listening to Damien Rice and Dashboard Confessional.
FYI- Nooma released their 12th short this week, and if you should definitely drop the $10 for it because I gurantee it is amazing.
Peace guys, and I will leave you with this:
"May you believe in God. But may you come to see that God believes in you. May you have faith in Jesus. But may you come to see that Jesus has faith that you can be like him. A person of love and compassion and truth. A person of forgiveness, and peace, and grace, and job, and hope. And may you be covered in the dust of your rabbi, Jesus." -Rob Bell, "Rain"

Ice Skating is Fun
January 22 2006
Last night a group of us from Campus Life went down to Centennial park for a night of fun and ice skating. I have only been ice skating 3 times now but I am ready to go buy skates and change my major....to ice skating haha. There were over three billion people on the rink but we still managed to pulled off some good 360's and Wesley was taking figure skating tips from a random lady. We eventually talked Mason into trying 360's and the like and it made for a fun filled evening. Everyone took some diggers but I managed some great spills all on my own. I know for a fact I gave an entire bench of people an excellent laugh-they told me so. I'm left with funny memories and scraps on my arm that look like pink highlighter- good times.

Words of Wisdom
January 07 2006
From my Grandfather, to my Dad, to me:
"It is none of your business what other people think of you."
Ten minutes later, from book I am reading:
"...I am not defined by what I am not. And understanding this truth is a huge part of becoming whole."
-Rob Bell, Velvet Elvis: repainting the Christian faith (Michigan: Zondervan, 2001) p. 115.
Good food for thought. Enjoy.

CHI CA GO
January 02 2006
Well I just got back in town from the Campus Life Chicago trip, and I officially have post trip blues haha. It's so weird being in a room all by yourself after sharing a hotel room with 3 other guys for 5 days, and riding home in a van with 10 people for about 10 hours.
On another note, the volunteer small group was awesome. We covered several topics that I have been struggling with for the past semester, and continue too deal with. I am also reading a great book by Rob Bell titled "Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith" and I more than encourage anyone and everyone to read this book. (Rob Bell is an excellent speaker who helps put on the Nooma series of short flims.) This book along with last week's small group have stirred up alot of things in my head.
I do too many things, and sadly my quiet time and school work are the first things to get cut. I need to devote myself to prayer and listen for what I need to cut out of of my life, or swap some priorities in my time to get done what needs to be done...Yet there are still several things that I would love(and need) to devote more of my time too...All of this will come in time, I just need to be still listen and be patient.
Happy New Year eveyone, I hope everyone had a fun and safe time last weekend. Best of luck with everyone going back to school tomorrow, and in the following weeks. Goodluck and God Bless.

It's time...
November 29 2005
"May you, when you're soaking wet, lost, hurting, and confused, may you cry out and may the creater of the universe take you out of your pack, may he hold you tight up against his chest, may he wrap his eternal loving arms around you, and may you hear him whisper...
I love you buddy.
We're going to make it.
Dad knows the way home.
We're gonna make it.
I love."
-Rob Bell
We all come to points in our lives where we realize that we are not where we want to be. I constantly find myself caught up in my own life, and I will definitely admit that I am confident, and at times too confident. Confidence is one of those doors that swings both ways and is definitely something that needs to be in check.
It is time for me to get off my butt, and be active in my faith again on a personal level. I can no longer attempt to lead young adults when I sit here and am not where I need to be, and am not doing what I need to be doing. Cars are not my life, college is not my life, work is not my life...they are all things that are in my life, but they are not my life, and should stop consuming me.
So I sit here, having no clue where I am going, but I know that at least I am heading in the right direction. Peace and God Bless.

Hmm
November 01 2005
Another website has come into my life that is supposed to tell the world "all about me." I have no problem with the world getting to know me, but it seems like the more websites I join the more I feel like I am forcing myself upon people. Do not get me wrong, facebook has gotten me back in touch with many many people I knew from "back in the day..." and it is fun to "poke" people and leave messges on myspace, but isn't this just 15min more out of my day? I already have trouble with time managemant on this computer, maybe one day I will get off my butt and be more ambitious. Get out into the real world and actually meet people. Ah, one day. peace.
