Merry Christmas and happy 2007
December 26 2006
I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas! Mine was a little different this year since we are in the process of moving, but it was stil a really great and definately memorable Christmas. I'm sad I didn't get to spend it with the Breaux's and I won't get to spend new year's with them either since they are in Louisianna, but that's ok. Pastor preached a good message on Sunday reflecting Christ's birth. For Christmas, I got some clothes, a coat, shoes, cds, chocolate, a devotional book, and some stuff for my car. I'd have to say that my favotite part about this Christmas was what I did for my family and what I did for Hannah and Meghan (jess and I haven't done ours yet but that will be one of my favorite things!!!). For my family, I had a limo pick us up at home. We ate dinner (Papa Johns, soda, and chocolate) in the limo while we looked at Christmas lights. then we went to church. It was GREAT! and for Hannah and Meghan, I took them to see the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe play. that was fun, too. I'm going to take Jessica to a dinner theater, and she is going to take me to a spa so we can both get 30 minute massages! I've never had a professional massage before! We also plan on eating at our favorite restaurant that day...Front Porch Cafe! Oh, I can't wait. Well, Ali is bugging me cause she wants to get on so I'd better go. Now that Christmas is over, I wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
AAAAAHHHHHH! I slept in!!!!
December 04 2006
I had the craziest, busiest day of my life this past Friday. I woke up at 6:15, left for school at 7:15, got to anatomy and physiology by 8, then english by 9:10, and left school to go to work at 10. I got to work (The Rocking Horse) by 10:15 and worked til close which was 6:20. When I left there I went straight to Kohl's to work til close, and I didn't get out of there til it was almost 1 in the morning! I finally went to bed at 1:30 but couldn't sleep in again because I worked open-close at the Rocking Horse on the next day. When I got off, I went to the Breaux's house and I'll have to go into those crazy stories later, but I spent the night there and had a full day the next day (church, cleaned the house for open house, quick dinner/Judgment DVD break, church). When I got home from church I layed on my bed to work on an essay for english and fell asleep on my books. I woke up and realized I was sleeping on my books at around 1 or 1:30, put the books on my dresser and turned off my light, and went back to sleep. I don't think I even heard my TWO alarms go off this morning, and I must have shut the second one off in my sleep because when I woke up, it was 9:15. I missed anatomy, and by the time i would have gotten to english it would have been over, too. I can't believe I did that, but hey, I feel good and refreshed from that nice long sleep. :)
Ok, now for the funny incidents at the Breaux's house...Mrs. Tammy and Mr. Toby went to dinner at the Taglio's house, so it was just Hannah, Meghan, and me. Mrs. Tammy and Mr. Toby wanted us to move the loveseat out of the living room so we could put up the Christmas tree. We were like, "Ok, that won't be a problem." We started working on that at around 7:30 (after we watched some of Suite Life and tried to do the dances in Corbon Bleu's (sp?) music video on Disney Channel). So here's three teenage girls trying to get a couch through a doorway. We tried every angle possible and even had to move the piano as much as we could (a foot) so we could get the couch through, but nothing worked. Then we tried turning the couch on its side. Didn't work. Meghan gave up on us. Then Hannah and I stood the couch up vertically, and that DID work! We slowly maneuvered it through the kitchen, but then there was the doorway to the sunroom to get through. Eventually, we made it. After a little victory dance, we had to get the Christmas tree out from the shed. So we walked out there and Hannah scanned the shed and was like, "Now, where could it be?" Then I said, "Hmmmm...is that it?" pointing to the giant box that no one could miss laying on top of a bunch of stuff in the corner. We had to climb ontop of I don't know what to get this thing down. I was on an old excercise machine and I don't know what Hannah stood on. she moved the box a little, and saw a spider. She imitated Brad in the Contageous skit and screamed "Spider! Spider!" I hate spiders, so that freaked me out and I started screaming, "Spider!" Then on the side of the box, there were 3 more, and we screamed even louder, "Ahhhhh! Spider! Spider!" Hannah jumped down and got an empty cookie dough container, threw it to me, and I smashed the spiders yelling, "Die! Die! Die!" When they were dead and we were safe, we both sighed a sigh of relief before cracking up. Hannah climbed back up, and we tried once again to get the Christmas tree out. When we kind of had a good grip on it, we threw it down and drug it in the house. Then we had to find the stand, and we were all too lazy to go find it. I was like, "Fine, I'll get it." I walked into the shed and Hannah followed. When I got in there, she said, "Do you like being alone?" and shut off the lights and locked me in! I banged on the door and screamed "No! No! Let me out! AAHHHH! They're eating me alive! Help me! Please help me!" I didn't know that Hannah was sitting out there watching my feet jump up and down through the bottom of the door. Then I said, "Hey, I bet I could slide out from under the door." and Hannah saw me drop to the ground and poke my head out. While I tried to slide out, she was practically on the ground laughing and saying, "That was the funniest thing I've ever seen!" So it took us forever to find the stand for the Christmas tree. When Meghan figured out that the pieces laying in the living room the whole time WAS the stand, she put it together, and we went to the shed AGAIN to get the decorations and ornaments. When everything was finally in the living room and sunroom (around 9:30), all three of us put up the Christmas tree and listened to Christmas music. When we were done with that, it was time for our dinner break. We went to Wendy's, took it home, and ate it while watching Hannah Montana and singing "The Best of Both Worlds". Mr. Toby and Mrs. Tammy were home when we got back, and they were impressed that we actually got it done. We told them everything, well, almost everything, that had happened while they were gone and they thought it was funny. Shortly after finishing our dinner, we were tired and ready for bed, but when Hannah and I layed down to go to sleep we got our second wind and stayed up talking for a while. Then we decided we should go to sleep since we had to get up for church in the morning.
Lift my eyes
November 20 2006
I will lift my eyes to the maker
Of the mountains I can't climb.
I will lift my eyes to the calmer
Of the oceans raging wild.
I will lift my eyes to the healer
Of the hurt I hold inside.
I will lift my eyes, lift my eyes to You.
Oh God, my God, I cry out.
Your beloved needs you now.
Shine!
November 16 2006
Lord let me shine
Shine like the moon
A reflection of You
In all that I do
And Lord let me be
A light for Your truth
Light of the world
I want to be used
To shine for You!

Creepy/fun night with the Breauxs
October 23 2006
Saturday night, me and my mom went with the Breauxs to the Haunted Murfreesboro tour in the square. It was this thing where you go in groups at night and your tour guide walks you around the square and tells supposedly true ghost stories or just creepy stories that happened right there. It was fun. The stories were freaky. I don't think I believe some of them though unless I saw it for myself.
After that, we went to their house for brownies and hot chocolate and made up our own ghost story. We went around in a circle and everyone continued the story. It turned out to be pretty good. Wanna read it? Ok, sit back, relax, and brace yourself. Here's what I remember...
"This story takes place back in the 1960s in the hills of North Carolina. There was a man who lived in those hills named 'Old Man' Jenkins. No one saw him much. He just stayed in his house in the woods of the hills, isolated, and mysterious. Then one day, he decided to go into town. He met a woman there named Sue. They started talking, and Mr. Jenkins found out some things about her. One of those things is that she loved yellow roses. The more they talked, the more Mr. Jenkins started to like Sue. When he went back to his house in the hills, he kept thinking about her. He decided to plant yellow roses outside his house so when they grow he can give them to her. Some time later, he went back into town, this time carrying a yellow rose. He looked in the cafe, the one she said was her favorite, but didn't see her there. He continued to search the town for her but still couldn't find her. Mr. Jenkins then decided to check the town's church to see if anyone she knew was there and could tell him where he could find her. He came across the preacher. The preacher had ministered to Sue recently and counseled her through recent temptations. You see, Sue had an affair with another woman's husband, and she had a hard time dealing with it. When Old Man Jenkins found out about this, he went home. Later he searched the town again, still carrying the rose hoping he would see her, but this time came across some of Sue's relatives. "Do you know where I can find Sue?" Mr. Jenkins asked, "I want to talk to her." A solemn expression came over the relatives' faces. "Haven't you heard? Sue is missing. She went into the hills but we don't know why. She said something about visiting someone, but we don't know of anyone who lives in the hills. No one has seen her since." Confused, Mr. Jenkins immediately went back to his house in the hills to see if there was any sign of an accident that had taken place. Maybe her car would be there. Nothing. But Sue never came to visit me, he thought. So he went back into town a third time. He went to the house of the man she had the affair with, and a woman answered the door. "Can I help you?" "Yes, is your husband here? I think he has some information I need to know about a woman named Sue." The woman shook her head and scrunched her forehead. "I don't know what your talking about," she said before shutting the door. Mr. Jenkins started to walk away and was about to give up when he saw something strange in he backyard of the house he just came from. What is that? Mr. Jenkins stepped a little closer to the chain linked fence and gasped in shock. It was a hand. A hand with a wedding ring on its finger. He raced back home, more confused than ever now, and was in for another surprise. When he stepped into his livingroom, there, on the couch, sat Sue, and she was holding a yellow rose. "Sue!" Mr. Jenkins ran to her. "Sue something strange is going on and I need to know what happened. The people in town say they haven't seen you in a while. Have you been here the whole time?" Sue just stared at him. "I found out about your affair, and I'm sorry for getting in your business, but I think something happened to the man. Sue? Sue talk to me!" Mr. Jenkins reached out to shake her out of frustration, and to his horror, his hands went right through her. Mr. Jenkins jumped back, and when he did, he noticed something he hadn't before. A knife. A blood-stained knife. "Sue what happened? Did someone kill you? Was it that man? Was it his wife? What happened? Talk to me!" "No," Sue whispered, "It wasn't them. When you found out about the affair, you got mad. You came here. That's when you found me. I came to visit you, but you didn't seem like youself. This is your knife. I died here." Old man Jenkins took the knife and all the memories came back to him. He took another look at Sue. She had changed somehow in just that moment. He reached out to touch her, but this time his hand didn't go through. She was cold. That night, Old Man Jenkins took Sue's corpse, buried it, and covered her grave with the yellow roses he was growing for her. He couldn't sleep out of guilt. The memory played over and over in his head, but it still didn't seem real to him. He sat in the livingroom, moonlight coming in through the window, and tried to think about something else to take the place of his guilt. Old Man Jenkins realized he was starting to sweat. He wiped his brow, but continued to sweat more and more. Then he realized it was not sweat, but blood. When he looked up into the rafters, he could barely see the figure of a man...a man with his hand cut off... ready for revenge on the man who killed his love.

Far Away
September 12 2006
You know that song by Nickelback "Far Away"? Well while I was driving and flipping through radio stations that song came on. It's not a Christian song, but as I listened to it I felt like God said, "This is how I feel about you." Think about that as you read the lyrics because if He feels that way about me, He feels that way about you, too.
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long <--Have you been far away from Him?
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore
On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand <--He did withstand hell to hold our hand
I'd give it all
I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know,
you know, you know
That I love you <---HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go <--All He wants is to be together
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore
So far away
(So far away)
Been far away for far too long
So far away
(So far away)
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know
I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
I love you
I have loved you all along
And I forgive you <---He'll forgive you for letting Him go
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you any more
Believe it
Hold on to me and never let me go
Keep breathing, 'cause i'm not leaving you any more
Believe it
Hold on to me and never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and never let me go
Just Stuff
September 10 2006
Hey guys, I just found out we're gonna try to move so we can get a smaller house. We won't move far though. We'll still be zoned for Blackman and we'll still be about the same distance from FWC, thank God. The reason we want to move is so we can make some money from selling this house and use it so my mom can go back to school! I've been telling her she should for a long time because she really really wants to get into either nursing or occupational therapy. She loves what she does now but she's been doing it so long. I think it's time for a change in her life. I told her she can't live her life not doing what she's wanted to do since she was in college. So keep her in prayer and keep us in prayer as we try to find the right house.
The Judgement is coming up! It was awesome last year but this year is going to be even better. WAY better. Everybody needs to go through it. It's going to be October 27th-31st at Family Worship Center and it will cost $5, but that's a cheap price for something that will change your life! So come! I'll post more details later. I'm very excited about it. Auditions will be soon, and I hope to get the role of Jennifer. If not, that's obviously not where God wants me so I'm just praying that I (and everyone else) gets put where they'll be most effective for the Kingdom. Keep The Judgement in your prayers, too! I love you guys.
College
September 01 2006
College started Monday and man, what a HUGE difference from highschool. I like it better. Totally different schedule, I get to go home, come back a couple hours later, eat great food at the KUC, it's just great. It has been stressing me out though. Other than all that good stuff this has pretty much been my college days: wake up at 6, leave at 7, desparately search for a parking spot from 7:20-7:40, figure out what direction, what building, and what room my class is in, take notes in lecture, another lecture, maybe go home for a couple hours (great time to catch up on sleep, studies, and food), go back, find another parking spot, another lecture, library research, whooo! Tomorrow will be good cause school ends at 11 for me. Yay! then I have to do all my homework for the weekend because we're going whitewater rafting again this weekend! That's always fun, but this time it won't be with a bunch of crazy armenians. It'll be with a family on my mom's side, some of their friends, and maybe even Adam R if he decides to join us. It'll be fun. I'll definately tell you guys the crazy stories.
Drugs - What's Your Story?
August 17 2006
Man, last night's service was so good. Kenny is doing a series called "Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll" so last night was drugs. The verse he read talked about if you think you're standing strong as a Christian BE CAREFUL because even the strongest Christians can fall. That's exactly what happened to his best friend Jason. Kenny didn't really have a sermon, it was more like a story about Jason and how he was this awesome Christian and everybody loved him, but then drugs completely ruined his life in just a short period of time. Hannah and I did a human video called "Walking Dead" which I'm really glad went well. Even though I thought it was kind of a fun human video, I know God used us to touch the hearts of those middle school students with it. I'm so thankful for that. The altar call was amazing. Pretty much everyone in the room was crying before they left. I can't wait to see what God and Kenny have in store for next week!
fine arts trip
August 15 2006
The fine arts trip was great! All of the participants were excellent and glorified God with their ministries. The night services we went to were unforgettable. The praise and worship was one of my favorite things about our trip.
We did lots of other stuff while we were there too, and I'd have to say the best was Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. We got to pick where we wanted to go. I hung out with Jessica, Hannah, Meghan, Becca, and Kim. We decided to go to Islands of Adventure. They had some of the BEST rides there like the Hulk, the Dueling Dragons, and the 3-D Spiderman ride.
We got to go to Clearwater Beach while we were in Florida. Even though there were no waves, we still had fun dunking eachother, jumping off of Pastor Gus's shoulders, finding sand dollars, taking pictures of the gorgeous orange sunset, and taking a walk by the water.
Something I DEFINATELY will never ever forget is the Slingshot ride. I always said I'd never ride it, but every time we'd be driving down the road and see some crazy people shooting up in the air and Pastor Kenny said, "C'mon, you and me, Alicia." kind of talked me into it a little more and a little more. Then our last night there we ate at Chili's. The Slingshot was right behind it, and that's when I finally told Kenny I'd ride it with him. So that night (after another awesome church service) the jr high van went over there. I thought I was going to throw up or pass out or something every time Kenny and I moved up in line. The worst feeling was actually sitting in the seat and getting buckled in because you know there's no turning back and you're about to get shot 365 feet up in the air and come free falling back down! AHHHHHHHH! So we did and it was so much fun. We were lucky and got to ride it again since our first dvd messed up. I think that was God blessing Kenny for paying for me. Thank you Kenny!
So we had a great trip. The only bad thing about it was that it went by too fast.
