O'Donnell on ABC: 'Radical Christians' no different than murderous radical Muslims
September 15 2006
"Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have separation of church and state," O'Donnell said. She had been saying that America was attacked "not by a nation." She continued: "And as a result of the attack and the killing of 3,000 innocent people, we invaded two countries and killed innocent people." Even her liberal co-hosts were shocked by her comments.
Co-host Joy Behar protested that Christians are not trying to impose mass murder on America. "This group (radical Muslims) is threatening to kill us." Replied O'Donnell: "No, but we are bombing innocent people in other countries. True or false?"
O'Donnell was saying there is no difference between the radical Muslims who kill in the name of Allah and Bible-believing Christians who follow the teachings of Jesus.
Neither O'Donnell nor ABC apologized for the comments. Had she made similar comments about minorities or homosexuals, there would have been an apology, and she would have probably been fired. The message from ABC is that bashing Christians is acceptable, even comparing them with murderers who kill in the name of Allah.

Worship: A Calling in my Life
June 18 2006
God is really doing some cool things in me!! He is really growing me into things i never thought i would be. Last week i really did have to get out of my comfort zone because i had to minister to people ranging from 1 yr. old to 70 year old women to a mental retard patient. God is really showing me what is says in the Bible, "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord" This past week me and two guys from Chattanoga led worship for these wide ranges of people. It was awesome to see those people worshiping the one true God. This week i really felt God sealing me calling in my life. I had always felt that God was calling me into ministry but i had no clue why. Well did God change that! This past week i everyday led worship for these people and absolutly enjoyed it not for the material things. But to know that I am so unworthy but that God has chosen me as sinful as I am to do that that was amazing. I really do feel like God is calling me to be a worship leader. But i really don't know how. there are so many ventures you can go with it as i think about it. But God has really been showing me some cool things these past weeks. I will be posting during the week and the weeks following. God Bless- stephen

hey everybody! man m-fuge was awesome God really did show up in a mighty way. We talked the whole week on "Godstory" and looking at influencial people in the bible and their "GODSTORY" In worship for 3 night we talked about the life of Peter. so yea to the good stuff. God was really working at our ministry sites and i was able to lead worship with some guys from dallas bay (soddy daisy, tn) and that was cool and all. but God was so cool we went to this homless shelter and were there for about 25-30 minutes because of miscomunication but there was this kid there named paul and he was about 1 or 2 if that and he was with our leader but i got him for awhile after that and he was literally latching on me. It was so cool. God really did give me so awesome friends from the week and its cool because all the church were around from the same area minus 2. There were some from bowling green ky, franklin tn, us (theboro tn), and soddy daisy tn, so that was cool that we were all close together and then we has 1 group from wyoming (20 hours on a bus) i have to give them props because i would have probably shot myself if i was on a bus for 20 hrs and then 2 from mississippi. But yea God blessed me with a great CREATIVE group and that was great. i was sort of worried since i was one the oldest on the trip they would all be younger but there were a lot of people my age so that was awesome. so yea! i have to end this post with the only camp thing to do. so m-fugers what do i want to do???? AND then what do i want to do????
BE STRONG AND COURAGOUS and RUN!!!!!!!!
This is a scripture God put in my heart this week and it goes like this.
"Not to us O Lord, Not to us but to your name be the glory because of your love and faithfulness."
Have an awesome day!

off to m-fuge i go!! i am really looking foward to getting to hang out with some of the middle high and get the chance to lead worship. I am really looking foward this week to be able to worship God without having to do a thing. so thats going to be cool. As i leave i will leave you with some lyrics that we are going to base are week on.
Send us with fire to go love the world
Lay down all riches for the pearl of great cost
Count it as nothing for the sake of the cross
Pour out an offering of our lives for the lost, send us out
You're our greatest desire, Jesus, Your name is our greatest song
- Sending (Charlie Hall)
At all costs for your name
All creation shouts your praise
Jesus Christ saving grace
You are the way
- "At All Costs" (BJ Hunt)
Have an awesome week!!! -stephen
Leaving our Legacy
June 06 2006
today i was thinking (for once) about our generation.
What new our generation has grown up on:
iPods, Computer (Mac, PC, etc.), Blogging (Myspace, Phusebox, etc.) and much more
USA Today puts it this way, "They're young, smart, brash. They may wear flip-flops to the office or listen to iPods at their desk. They want to work, but they don't want work to be their life."
But what are we going to be remembered by. So many of the generations before have been remembered for something.
The 20's- the depression
The 70's- Hippies
What will we as a generation be remembered by?? Will we be remembered by those things listed above or will they know us by something. you might be thinking Stephen what else would there be? Well the scripture puts it best, "they will know us by our LOVE!" Will we remembered by the love we show each other and how God brought revival to this nation or we will just fall out and be remembered by something far less valuable.
Will we be remembered like the 1886-1908 generation as the Missionary Awakening or just some other sily generation.
Just a thought- stephen
All of Him and Less of Me- 06.01.06
June 01 2006
today we are t-minus about a week and 2 days till fuge and i am winding up the process of picking songs for the week. God has really got some cool things picked out for church group devo's. I can't wait to see how God shows up during the week! This will probably be my last trip to Fuge in my 1st -12th grade career. So i really want to do my best to leave an impact on the city of St. Louis. I really haven't picked what i want to do and frankly it really doesn't matter what i want but its what God wants. If he wants to put me out of my comfort zone for the week bring it on. one song we are going to do is probably a new song but the lyrics go like this.there such wonderful lyrics from Starfield talking about laying all we have down at the feet of the one who is worthy of worship.
The whole earth
Is filled with Your glory Lord
Angels and men adore
Creation longs for what's in store
May You be honoured and glorified
Exalted and lifted high
Here at Your feet I lay my life
Have an awesome day!! -stephen

"We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us
therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy
and find grace to help in time of need." (Heb. 4:15-16, NKJV)
The Bible emphatically reminds us of the holiness of God; that He is a God to be feared. Yet the same Bible encourages us to confidently come into
the awesome presence of this God. This is no contradiction; it is rather a confirmation of the radical opportunity for access to and relationship with this Holy God; access that is made possible only by the sacrifice of His Son and our great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, we are invited to "come boldly to the throne of grace"
- grace, not judgment! That is because our Judge has also become our Redeemer.
As I was checking my email this email came in from Dean how awesome is this. That the God of the universe will let me come before his presence as fility and sinful as I am in grace and love and not punishment and judgment as I deserve.
And then God has a cool way of doing this. I was listening to itunes on my computer and this song pops up. Its Chris Tomlin's "I Stand Amazed." Its such an awesome song about stand in the presence of God! So yea God
has really been rocking my world this past couple of weeks. Rock On!
Stephen
I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner, condemned, unclean.
O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
O how marvelous! O how wonderful!
Is my Savior's love for me!
He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary,
And suffered and died alone.
When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
'Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.
