Good Journey
November 04 2005
My tomato was born in Mexico.
(The sticker says).
It is now at the uppermost coast of the United States.
This tomato has travelled farther than many of the people who live in my city ever will.
To what end?
Digestion.

But doesnt that make you wonder what the hold time on those tomatoes are, they have to travel all the way from Mexico to Michigan, go on the shelf and then bought and taken home, not being a produce guru, i don't know if that would last long for the end user

Stranger than that - i bought this at the local food co-op, which I am a member of. Meaning that if anything, this tomato was treated better than most tomatos, and likely had a shorter journey.
