Here is a question that was raised during one of my seminary classes.
Do you have to be a Disciple to be a Christian?
If so, why?
If not, why not?

I think you could make a case either way.
For the sake of argument, I am going to say "Yes." The great commission tells us to "go and make DISCIPLES," not to go and make converts or believers.
