"i'm a beach, you're a beach

July 08 2007
everybody's a beach, beach"
well, friends, we are back from our vacation. it is sad. i wish i was still there. i actually started dreading going back to work on thursday. i did, in fact, have to work today. and it was not fun.
but! our trip was. i greatly enjoyed spending time with our family. i definitely enjoyed the ocean and our lovely beach home. i had so much fun catching crabs on the beach with nathan and sarah... especially the really big ones! i enjoyed relaxing oh so much. it was more than fabulous to be away for a few days. too bad life isn't just one big fun vacation.
i think i realized just how much stress work was causing me. i have decided i need a new job (again). i have tried to have a positive attitude. i have tried to do my best. but being a CNA at a nursing home is physically and emotionally draining. and life is much too short. i need to find something. way less stressful.
nathan and i have a new addition to our small family. ponce de leon. our lil hermit crab. he is fun. and sophia has already tried to eat him. ha.
well, that is a little update. i hope that everyone is having a wonderful night!

My mom is an RN at a nursing home in Murfreesboro. It's a hard job. I hope you find something that works better for you soon. I'm glad to hear that you had a good time on your trip and congratulations on the new addition to your family.

I think visiting a nursing home is stressful, so I can't even imagine working in one. I'm glad you had a great trip, though!

office life would be amazing. i don't know why anybody would NOT like it. seriously. i have tried to get an office job, but lack experience, so they don't give me a chance. i know computers, but they won't take my word. oh well.... that is life. :-)

hmmm. i work for midsouth bank (i am a relief teller for the next four summers & winters) ... they actually have openings right now. i would turn in a resume and application. i only had retail experience & a hs diploma, but i still got the job. i would apply to midsouth, first tennessee, and sun trust because they are more likely to hire younger, inexperienced tellers. it's realllllly good money! i've heard that pinnacle, wilson bank, and first bank are very strict with hiring tellers (like they require a financial degree or 2-5+ yrs of experience), but i am not sure.
