Stuff

November 18 2005

well....things have been interesting...that show. a waste. we didn't play. i had to be back in town by 11...the show started over an hour late and we ended not being able to play. so whatever. in school, we are writing ballads for english, i was excited...but then my group and i wrote ours....i'm not proud of it in the least....no offense to any of my group members...but i got in a group of giddy girls and i'm not fond of our ballad in the least, i just have to play guitar behind it. whatever. last night i saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire....i was disappointed. there could have been SO much more stuff in that movie. from the standpoint of JUST the movie...i would say it was good...directed very well...props to Mike Newell....but compared to the book...it wasn't that great. it skipped around too much...left out a lot of important information, and left out some really cool parts. so i'm kind of on both sides on liking it and not liking it...i think i liked it more than not though. so i suggest it to any Harry Potter fans...but those of you who also read the books...you'll more than likely be disappointed in the content. as a result of seein that movie last night and getting home at 3 in the morning, i've been exhausted. this morning in German III i ate 4 LARGE brownies, a bowl of icecream, a cup of coffee and a mug of milk...it was grand...Brownie Day was awesome. in result of that, i ate not even half of my lunch. whatever. haha. i worked this evening...nothing special...just the droning of old people talking and complaining and whatnot. not i'm bored...someone save me!

SHOW

November 15 2005

Well...Wait For Daybreak has a show tomorrow at the Muse in Nashville...it's on 4th ave.....it starts roughly at 7 p.m. we are playing with Vena Amori, The Cardinal Sin, and Super Black Market. the show should be pretty good. the cover charge is around 7 dollars...that's the usual charge...this is really short notice, i know...for us and you guys. so, if you wanna come support us...it won't be a long show...but should be cool. and there's a possibility we could get people in for free...never know...haha. well check it guys!

confusion...

November 10 2005

don't you just hate confusion. when it seems like something makes sense and all the pieces fit together, you figure out there are actually a few pieces missing from the puzzle. they are little things, but without them, the picture isn't complete. i've felt that way recently with a few different things. it's just annoying, not knowing what's going on with your own life and how other people are affecting it. i mean, for the most part, everything is grand...just some things and people set my head spinning into a complete state of dillusion, and i just don't know what to think. one day, something can seem like a concrete fact, then the next day it's like it was never true...it's all really confusing and irritating. and for those of you who really know me, i don't really like being left in the dark about stuff, i like to know exactly what's going on. i mean...to quote myself "Do What Now?" i just wanna get things in the clear and just know what's going on. blah...i hate being confused. but for the most part...things are fine, school, the band, work, friends....just those little puzzle pieces that make the picture incomplete that annoy the shit out of you. it owned!

November 05 2005

song of the day: "Bloodsuckers pt II" by As Cities Burn

well...last night was the EMERY show and it owned. As Cities Burn put on an AWESOME show...they are really really good. i bought their cd and a shirt...and the cd is awesome! next was Gym Class Heroes...they were better than i had originally given them credit for. if you like hip hop in the least, you'd like them. it was really cool. then...holy whoa...He Is Legend. ALL OF THEM ARE CRAZY!! haha. the lead singer ran out frantically in a HUGE top hot, silk vest and wife beater, eye makeup, long brown hair, big ol' beard and threw bread into the crowd from a bagged loaf....haha...it was great...i had NO clue what was going on. they put on a good show. i was down in the pit for that one. then finally, EMERY played. it was crazy-awesome! i was right up front for this one. they opened with So Cold That I Could See My Breath and it was so good. they played a lot of good songs...but not Listening to Freddie Mercury...which made me sad...but they closed with Walls...that was CRAZY!!!! haha. i flipped out. i love that song. at one point, the keyboardist took a mic stand with a mic on it and stuck it into the crowd...Weston and I automatically grabbed it and started singing into it...it was awesome! the lead singer also shook my hand in the crowd, which i was cool...i just stuck out my hand, and he acknowledged it and shook my hand...it was really cool. but yeah...the showed kicked. didn't get home till 2 in the morning..but oh well..it was worth it...rock!

October 30 2005

Song of the day: "Hold Me" by Weezer

well, this weekend was a good one. friday night i went to work and then the game...we won..thank goodness...Blackman's team isn't too hot this year...but it's a win none-the-less. haha. after that we all went to Will's house for his birthday party. it was fun. we all sat around the fire and chilled. good times. we had his mom's french toast in the morning...GOOD stuff. haha. i worked that night and after work i went to Starbucks with miss Rebekah Minor. that was cool. then we went back to her house and watched Donnie Darko...i love that movie. and she actually liked it too. that was cool...most people i've showed it too haven't liked it cuz it's so weird...haha. but yeah...and i worked today and then hung out with Greer, Tyler, and Mark for a while. played some croquet and came home. good weekend...now i'm gonna go read a bit and chill. have a good evening everyone.

SUNDAY and SWING

October 24 2005

well...to add to my Saturday extravaganza...Sunday was pretty crazy. i went home from Weston's in the morning to let my dogs out and at about 1:30 i went back to his house to practice a little before the show. after that...i had to run by my house to get money for food and tickets. then back to Weston's. haha. then we went to Wendy's knowing that we were late for the show...but it started late anyways. blah blah blah. we finally got to Nashville and arrived at the Muse at about 5:15....NO ONE was there. how gay?! it was supposed to start at 6 and well...it definately did not start at 6. ha. more like 7:30 about....it sucked. once it finally got going...it was pretty cool. we found out we were to be 2nd to last out of 7 bands...that's really good. i was quite happy about that. but along with that placement...we didn't play until nearly 11 o'clock. woo doggy...was that late. haha. after playing...this band, A Beginner's Mind, played. they were a semi-professional band from Las Vegas who came to destroy the local artists. haha. it's all good though. they put on a good show. very experimental. it was cool...kinda unfair, but whatever. they ended up winning and we packed it all up and headed home where i made it in bed by about...let's see....2:00 o'clock. i was SO tired today. but whatever...it was fun...my mom was kinda pissed i got home so late on a school night...but it's all good. so it went well...thanks to the people who came out or bought tickets just to support us. haha.

well today was good, other than the sleepiness. school went by fairly quick and afterwards we had the first dancing swing club meeting. Molly and I got to show everyone how to do the basic steps of swing dancing. it was a lot of fun. cuz i got to remember all the old stuff i used to do sophomore year. Tyler helped us out too, cuz there were a lot of girls who didn't have male partners...hopefully that'll change. it was difficult for them and us to teach. but it was a lot of fun. if anyone is interested...come out...you've only missed a few basics...you should be able to make it up. well that's all i have folks...later

SATURDAY!

October 23 2005

man...yesterday was one crazy, yet full, day. i woke up and took that FANTASTIC test i like to call the ACT. it BLEW! haha. but it's all good. i think i did well on the math and reading sections...for the most part. anyways...after that...all hell broke loose. not really...i just had to drive...A LOT! i had to drive back to my house to let my dogs out...from Blackman...that's not bad. then i had to drive all the way across town to go to Kroger, because that's the only way i can get cashback on a check. then they told me to do so, i had to buy gas....which = gay! so i did. then i finally got to go to Chef Wang's with everyone, who got there after the ACT. well...needless to say, i got there as they were finishing desert...i didn't get any chinese food. after that i drove back over to Memorial to go to Subway, then all the way back to Danny's house where i got to chill for a few hours. haha. that was fun. but man...i didn't wanna drive anymore. well...too bad for me. we decided to go to the Slaughterhouse in Nashville...and i drove there too. haha. driving there was the worst. i accidentally took a wrong turn that i have taken before and we got in the wrong side of Nashville and we got lost for like an hour trying to fight our way through traffic due to a Predators game getting let out. once we finally got to the haunted house, the line was huge. luckily that only took like 15 minutes to get through....not sure how that happened, haha. but yeah...the Slaughterhouse was pretty freaking cool. freaked me out here and there...that's what i needed, a good scare, haha. well we came home. almost got lost coming home cuz Ty Ty led this time and went in the wrong direction and and i had to call and tell him so, we turned around and made it home alright. haha. it was an interesting there. i also spent the night at Weston's house. we did a little acoustic practicing. i'm heading back over there in about 30 minutes so we can run through the full set for tonight and get our stuff packed up and ship back of to Nashville...where i just happen to be driving...AGAIN! haha. oh well...it'll be fun. have a nice day.

and oh yeah...if you guys wanna come to the show...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME!!! call me or Weston, or Dann, or Carter...not many of you probably know Coty's number. but buy a ticket...8 dollars...even if you can't go and want to support us...8 bucks, haha. well thanks guys...later

good to sucky to good kinda day...

October 18 2005

just like the title...today was good...then sucky...then good. haha. one of those rollercoaster rides. haha. but yeah...school was good...didn't hardly do anything today. underclassmen took the TCAP writing assessment practice for the first time this year...I NEVER HAVE TO DO THAT EVER AGAIN!!!! Thank God! haha. but yeah...after doing that, we had a senior meeting, which was completely useless...except to get me out of my retarded Economics class for about 15 minutes. oh well...haha...the rest of the day was simple. my art project is almost finished. i'll be glad when it is...it's pretty neat...for me at least. haha. but yeah. 4-square after school...it was nice. WORK BLEW! it was unreasonably busy. for no freaking reason. i didn't understand. and the residents kept pissing me off with the little things they like to do. i got fed up and left as soon as i ate. haha...i finished my work. but i finished. Then i was hanging out with Greer, Danny, and Tyler...we were on our way to JC Penney's when i realized that when i stopped by the gas station i left my wallet on top of my car before i drove to Danny's....i was freaking out. luckily, the wallet stayed on top of my car, and that's where i found it...2 miles away, haha...lucky me! this is where the day turned back around. i got a pair of jeans at JC Penney's for 16 dollars!!! good sale...nice Levi's. then i bought a pair of shoes that my mum is paying me back for because i made all A's on my report card. yay me! haha...i like them. so yeah...good day overall...work and almost losing my wallet sucked! haha. well that's it really. later guys

Welcome me

October 17 2005

well...i was told by a Ms. Sarah Moore to become a part of this "weblog community" and it actually seems pretty cool. she explained it as xanga, but cooler. it has a lot of features that xanga doesn't have. i like that. i would like to personalize the look of my page...but i can live. haha. it's really neat though. i've invited a numerous amount of people to be my friend (sounds like myspace) and hopefully they will be kind enough to give me a yes. haha. hopefully, considering most of them are my friends from school and whatnot. we'll see. well....Welcome Me
