What a Day!

April 02 2007
Today was CRAZY!  One guy proposed to me (not Trent) and another guy told me that I should dump Trent because he had more money and could 'carry me across the threshold.'  WOW!!!  I know it was all in good fun and everyone was joking...but I thought it was really funny.  I was extremely flattered.  So I just want to thank those boys who made my day!

Nature's Soap Opera

March 05 2007
So today mandy and I were about to get out of my car and we saw an infestation of squirrels right behind the B.  Then two particular squirrels stood out because one was intently pursuing the other.  Mandy and I watched for just about 10 minutes.  The squirrel being pursued did not want to be pursued at all.  She (i think it was a she because I think it's mating season here in Morehead) did not want anything to do with him.  But at the same time, just like a female, she would get distracted and just stop.  Not wise.  While she wasn't paying attention, the other squirrel would come up and sniff her butt...or at least that's what it looked like.  And it happened several times.  Mandy and I decided that if a man were going to pursue us, we would not enjoy having out butt sniffed.  I think it's a logical claim.

So that lasted at least 10 minutes.  Mandy and I concluded that squirrels during mating season is Nature's Soap Opera.

V-Day

February 15 2007
I hope everyone had an awesome Valentine's Day!  I know I did.  It started out a little rough, what with the snow storm through the middle of the night and the roads that morning and chaos...but it turned out very well.  Trent surprised me with Roses...that I didn't see at first and then he took me out to B-Dubs.  Not the most romantic of places, but considering everywhere else was packed and we only have a few short hours, we went there.  It was fun.  Then we just hung out and talked.  It was awesome.

I am so truly blessed to be in a relationship with a man who respects me and in turn, I respect him.  It's crazy to think how one year ago, I just kinda knew Trent.  I think we really started getting to know each other and hanging out after Valentine's Day.  Trent and I discussed...and the beginnings of this friendship/relationship are pretty hazy.  But hey...we're making new memories now and that will just have to do!

Not feeling good...

February 01 2007
Erin's belly doesn't feel good...awwww...grrrr, can someone make it feel better?

SO True

January 23 2007
Here are a few reasons why guys like girls:
1. They will always smell good even if its just shampoo
2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder
3. How cute they look when they sleep
4. The ease in which they fit into our arms
5. The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world
6. How cute they are when they eat
7. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worth while
8. Because they are always warm even when its minus 30 outside
9. The way they look good no matter what they wear
10. The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you think she's the most beautiful thing on this earth
11. How cute they are when they argue
12. The way her hand always finds yours
13. The way they smile
14. The way you feel when you see their name on the call ID after you just had a big fight
15. The way she says "lets not fight anymore" even though you know that an hour later....
16. The way they kiss when you do something nice for them
17. The way they kiss you when you say "I love you"
18. Actually ... just the way they kiss you...
19. The way they fall into your arms when they cry
20. Then the way they apologize for crying over something that silly
21. The way they hit you and expect it to hurt
22. Then the way they apologize when it does hurt. (even though we don't admit it)!
23. The way they say "I miss you"
24. The way you miss them
25.
The way their tears make you want to change the world so that it
doesn't hurt her anymore..... Yet regardless if you love them, hate
them, wish they would die or know that you would die without them ...
it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they were to the
world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eyes,
traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things
without trace of a sound, you know that your own life is inevitable
consumed within the rhythmic beatings of her very heart. We love them
for a million reasons, No paper would do it justice. It is a thing not
of the mind but of the heart. A feeling. Only felt.

Moving

December 13 2006
So let it be known that I hate moving!  I can't get motivated to pack and I have to wait until Trent gets here to actually move anything to my car because it is too heavy for me!  It's frustrating because it seems like I have a lot of stuff here, but I don't and it's confusing me!

Oh the fun!

Youth Rally

November 12 2006
342 Players had an youth rally in Flemingsburg, KY last night and I attended.  We were only scheduled to perform two skits, however, these skits were two hours apart.  Therefore, we had to wait for two hours for the next one to start.  Because we were already there, they asked us to be counselors for kids who probably had never heard of Jesus Christ before.  Well once the service started, we were already late by like 10 before the first band was done.  This signaled a very off schedule for the rest of the evening.

Well the first skit, which I was not in, started off very rough.  The kids would not be quiet so it was started four times.  After that, the message was spoken.  Now remember, this was for middle schoolers, the message was about how everyone was going to hell if they didn't accept Jesus Christ right then and turn their life around.  The guy kept saying the same thing over and over and went over his allotted time by like 20 minutes.  Then there was an invitation for like at least 30 minutes.  Now, the preacher was crying and calling out other kids that were crying and telling them they needed to talk to a counselor.  The problem with that is that many kids who came back were just scared they were going to hell.  They didn't know anything about God or Jesus or anything...it was all about going to hell and they were terrified.

By the time this was over, they had an intermission but it was already like 2.5 hours into the rally and the second half hadn't started.  Allie and I were just waiting to do our skit when the second half started.  However, the organizer came over and said they were cutting our skit that was only about 3 minutes and went on next.  So Marla, our fearless leader, decided we should leave, so we did.  Afterwards, I was told that the organizer came back and apologized to the BCM for coming so far and not getting to do everything.

So basically, Allie and I didn't get to do our skit and all of us attending were not very happy at the way it was run.  We sat for about 2.5 hours after the first skit for nothing.  Granted, a few of the couselors really got a good talk with some of the kids but overall this rally was a bust.

I was really disappointed.

I Shall Move...

November 06 2006
So I now have an apartment for next semester!  Who's excited?  Me!  Yup...it shall be goooooood times.

Do The Math...

November 01 2006
Let's test your math skills...shall we?

Erin + Rain + Cold = n

So what do you think the answer is?  Hmmm?  (I'm not being sarcastic at all...am I???

Well, anyway, the answer is SICK!!!

I'm nausious, stuffy nose, sore throat and I'm achy.

CURSE YOU ANN ANDALORO!!!!!

For those of you who don't know...Ann decided that it would be a GREAT idea to walk to restaurants in the rain when it was cold!  No one thought it was a great idea...but Ann called the shots and now I feel horrible!  No more trips with Ann!!!

SIck

October 17 2006
I think I'm starting to get sick...unfortunately.  I woke up today with a sore throat and just feeling kind of icky.  It's not too fun.  I'm hoping that taking some vitamins and taking larger doses of vitamin c will help combat what I'm feeling right now.  Who knows if it actually will.

Right now I can't actually afford to get sick.  I have a conference I am presenting at next weekend and I need to be prepared and feeling awesome to make it work.

So, I'm hoping to start feeling better soon!

Today

October 08 2006
I think today was just what I needed.  After a little bit of disappointment, I spent the day with Lauren and Ashton.  I was so fun.  All I did was scrapbook and watch movies.  Then I came back and did some much needed painting of the nails.  It was definitely some de-stress therapy.  Next I need to work on some massage therapy.  That would be good for my back.  Anyway, surprisingly it turned out to be a great day!  I thought it would be a bummer and lonely but came to spend the night with two awesome girls!

Random

October 04 2006
Some random things happened last week.  The most random thing that happened was a race with Mama Dee.  I was heading to the bathroom and Dee entered behind me and decided we must race.  Weird.  Needless to say, I won.  I got out of the bathroom first (and with not much competition) and then got into my seat for Bible Study before her too because we were in the same group.  Too much excitement for PBS.

In other news, it is really hard to fulfill a contract that I never signed for a scholarship that I received but never applied for.  Funny how people try to strong-arm you when they really have no basis for it.

Hopes...

September 20 2006
So I am updating in the hopes that Trent will also update his.  He never does and complain that I never do.  He is incorrect.

Anyway, today I got a new camera and it's really cool.  Ask me about it.  I love it!

Classes are going ok.  Just really busy but that's what I love...right?  I have a quiz tomorrow that seems to be really easy but I'm sure it isn't going to be.

Dr. T and I seem to be coming along on our paper.  I'm really excited about it because I'm a nerd.  The bad part is that I will mainly be presenting it at the conference.  Lucky me.

Okey dokey.  That seems to be all.

Oh, and I had a good time this past weekend with my parents.  They are always a good time.

Grrrrrrr!!!!

September 14 2006
Today I get to whine...

I'm tired.
I'm stressed.
My back is aching and will probably start spasming within the next day.

I'm done.

Today

September 10 2006
This morning I went to church at Trinity and it was really good until my blood sugar dropped and I had forgotten some crackers so I had to run to the gas station to get some gatorade and crackers.  By then I was getting nausious and had to call off lunch with Trent.  We were going to cook at his apartment today.

Then I took Trent and Rand back to their apartment and Trent had gotten me flowers.  They had roses and they were absolutely beautiful.  So thanks Trent.  Totally made my day!  When I didn't feel good and I wasn't in the best of moods...That made my day soooo much better and easier to deal with.  Thanks again!

Painting

September 06 2006
So I think I have found my love of painting.  Never before had I even explored painting but since my good friend Chasen wanted one, I needed to come through.  I am very pleased with how it turned out and the I did like two others.  So much fun.

Better

September 05 2006
Much better now!

Not fun

September 04 2006
It's really hard right now and I don't like it.

Dead

September 04 2006
Today I found out that the Crocodile Hunter died today in Australia.  A sting-ray but a hole through his heart while he was filming a documentary.  As much as I thought a lot of his antics were really stupid, I feel really bad for his wife, Terri, and their two kids.  At some point you have to think that his family would be more important and he wouldn't be filming documentaries called Ocean's Deadliest.  He has a family that he needs to think of and unfortunately that came too late.  I knew one day something bad would happen but I always hoped it wouldn't.

Granted, I never really like the Crocodile Hunter shows or respected much of what Steve Irwin did, but he was someone who wanted everyone to know about Earth's finest creatures and I can respect that.

Anyway, I wish the best of luck to his family.  I am so sorry for you loss.

BTW

September 02 2006
For some reason the time thing is not right on here (MOM).  I am not updating this that early in the morning.  Can't figure it out!  When I go into my blog manager it gives the right time then as soon as I publish the blog, it adds hours to my post time.  So the times here are not correct.  Aggravating me.

Tonight

September 02 2006
SO...I've had better nights!  I stayed in my room till about 9...all by myself, and then went with Mandy to Fazolis and to see a movie.  Then she took me back to the B and I ran over to Trent's to see him for about an hour.  Good times.  Then I drove back, all the while my brake light is on. Why?  I don't know.  That remains to be figured out.  Also, on the way up to my room, I get stuck in the elevator.  The doors won't open.  So I promised Trent that I would call him to let him know that I got in safe, and instead had to call 911.  By the time I pushed the little red button in the elevator, the doors opened.  Might be the last time in a while that I ride that elevator.  Or not.  It was kinda a fun adventure.  Anyway, tomorrow is a funfilled day in Lexington so I must sleep for tomorrow shall be a long day.

Yep...here I am...

August 22 2006
Yep...I am back at school at good 'ole Morehead State University!  Yesterday was my first day of school and I only had one class.  I then had to figure out what my fellowship is really all about.  I spent most of my day reading a dissertation and then went to meet some new freshman at the BSU for Freshman Fiesta!  Today is a different story.  I have four classes and I'm dreading all of them.  I finish at 4:15 but start at 9:10.  That's no good.  However, tonight is the first night of TNL at the BSU and I get to do some stage make-up.  That is always fun.  Anyway, I have class in like 10 minutes so I guess I should head out!  I'm off to Sociology.

Nuthin

August 15 2006
Do you ever have those times when you realize you should be doing something else but you are doing something semi-pointless instead.  Here I am two days before I leave for school and I am in front of the tv talking to Trent online.  This truly has become the highlight of my day because everything else is work and this is pure joy.  No matter how hard or tiring or frustrating the work is, Trent can make it all better.  It's just a comforting thought to know that there is this wonderful boy out there who cares about me no matter what.  How am I so blessed?

Here I am again....

August 14 2006
So here I am again...sitting at work....bored.  I mean, I'm answering questions but I don't know all the answers.  And none of them are actually for the real reason why I am here.  It's absolutely ridiculous.  But I am getting paid.  And very nicely so I shouldn't complain...right?
