Cool. What kind of content management software are you going to use for the blog... wordpress, movable type, coca? One suggestion, if you are open to it. You really don't need to add resolutions higher than 1024x768. People with 20, 23, and 30 inch displays do not browse the web with their browser running full screen. Simply becuase their monitor is so big they don't need to. My res is 1280 x 854 (widescreen) and I never have it fullscreen. When I clicked on your higher res everything was formated wrong becuase my browser was not in full screen mode.

Matt... I would probably do that with the resolution except that the work is already done now, and it's not hurting anything. I figure that people who visit the site on some sort of regular basis will start to remember the resolution they usually select.
